Center Work

Complete the Words to Know Lesson 25 Handout.

 

Complete the word CVC word detective short a handout.

 

Play the slide and ladders game-plane shapes.  Students roll a dice and move that many spaces.  They state what the shape is.  If they land on a slide, they slide down.  If they land on a ladder, they climb up.

 

Complete I Spy the Letter K handout.

 

Play Spin a Shape and Cover Game- Students spin the spinner and if they land on a shape that’s on their board, they cover it.  To win, they must have their whole board covered. (Use a paper clip and a pencil to use the spinner. A paperclip is provided in a sandwich zip lock bag)

 

Complete the Rhyming handout.

 

Make a shape monster- Students will use the various shapes provided to create a monster.  The long stripes are for the arms and legs.  Then record on the sheet how many of each shape were used.

 

Play Roll a Shape Math Game- Assemble the dice by cutting on the dotted lines and taping the sides.  Your child will roll the dice, say the shape, and color it on their board.  Continue until all the shapes are colored.

 

Complete the What’s in my egg- Students will choose an item that can fit inside the provide egg.  Then they are to write 3 clues with your help.

 

Decorate and color the Easter egg provided.
