                                                                       STUDENTS AND PARENTS

Please check your child's homework folder each night. There are 2 pockets in the folder. One pocket says, "Return to School." This pocket will have homework which needs to be returned by Friday. I check to make sure the homework papers are really here on Monday before they leave for the day. The reading paper is placed here on Monday and has 3 days of homework on one paper. Math homework is taken from the math book. It is a colored copy and says "Practice and Homework" in the corner. They will have a paper on Monday and a second paper on Wednesday each week. The idea is to complete one side each day.(Mon., Tues., Wed., Thurs.)

The other pocket in the folder says "Keep at Home." I do not need these papers back. they are likely papers we completed together.

Completion and accuracy of homework is recorded on report cards. Homework is a continuation of our learning day and therefore is very important. It reinforces skills we are learning in class. Thank
