Art I Syllabus

Art I

Art I is an overview of different art mediums which include:  drawing, & painting, colored pencil, oil pastel, & print making.  The first quarter we will concentrate on drawing.  The students will learn basic drawing skills.  These skills will be the foundation for the other mediums we will explore later in the year.  The second quarter we will begin to talk about color, and start using color pencils and oil pastels.  Then starting out the third quarter we will oil paint.  The remaining time in the third quarter we will dive into design projects, like print making.  Fourth quarter the students start expressing themselves with their own ideas.

Supplies students need to supply and bring to class:  a pencil.

Art I will have a website that can be found on the school’s website under teacher’s website and click on Rob Keller, then art I.  On the website the projects will be posted along with due dates.
