Mrs. Abbey DeMoss

3rd Grade

Room 201

Mary A. Goetz Elementary

512 Oak St.

Ludlow, KY 41016

My name is Mrs. Abbey DeMoss.  I will be your child’s 3rd grade teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. This is my first year teaching 3rd grade at Mary A. Goetz and I am so excited to be here!   Before making the move to Ludlow Schools I taught 4th grade for ten years and spent one year teaching 1st grade.

I am a proud graduate of both UK and NKU.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Kentucky in 2006. I went on to earn my Master’s Degree from Northern Kentucky University in 2013.  This summer I began work on my post graduate studies focusing on reading education.

I have been married to my husband, Michael for 5 years. We live here in Ludlow and are slowly but surely working on restoring our home.  We have two young sons, James & Jude and a dog, Ralph. We enjoy spending family time together, like going to the zoo, park, museum and just being together.  In my free time, I enjoy cooking, games/puzzles, reading, and spending time with my friends.

Communication is the key to student success.  There will be several forms of communication this year but email is best for me:

Parent(s)/Guardian(s) will receive email updates and reminders from me. (Please be sure we have your current email on file.)

Student Agenda/Planner

Daily homework assignments will be written in the student’s agenda each night.  The agenda can also be used to write notes to the teacher. I will check them daily and ask that you please check and sign your child's agenda daily as well.

Download the ClassDojo App and signup to stay connected.

As a teacher, I will:
