Michael J. Borchers, Superintendent
Mr. Borchers is in his 27th year in education, all spent at the Ludlow Independent School District. His years as a panther have included a number of different roles, including Math Teacher, Coach, Middle and High School Principal, and Director of Curriculum. In the spring of 2011, Mr. Borchers was named as Superintendent of Ludlow Schools. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Education from Northern Kentucky University and his Master's in Education from the University of Cincinnati. He attended Xavier University for both his Rank I Program and his Superintendent's Certificate. Mr. Borchers resides in Taylor Mill with his wife, Susan, also a teacher, and their three children.
Dr. Jason Steffen, Director of Teaching & Learning
Dr. Steffen is in his 20th year in education, with the last eleven spent at Ludlow Schools. Before starting his current role, Jason spent ten years as the Mary A. Goetz Elementary Principal. Dr. Steffen holds a Bachelor's Degree in both History and Education from Northern Kentucky University, and completed his Master' Degree and Rank I Program in Administration in Education from Xavier University. Dr. Steffen earned his Doctorate in Education in 2019 from the University of the Cumberlands. Jason and his wife, Hollyce, live in Fort Thomas with their three children.
Jenny McMillen, Director of Student Services
Mrs. McMillen is in her 26th year in education, all spent in the Ludlow Independent School District. Before her current role, she served as a Special Needs Teacher and High School Guidance Counselor. Mrs. McMillen earned her Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree from Northern Kentucky University. She also completed a Master's Degree and Rank I Program in School Counseling at Xavier University. Jenny resides in Ludlow with her husband, Woody, a teacher and coach at Ludlow High School. They have two sons; Ben is a junior at Ludlow High School, and Jack is a 2021 graduate from LHS.
Aubrey Cahill, Director of Preschool & Special Education
Mrs. Cahill is in her 14th year in education, all spent at Ludlow. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary/Special Education from Bellarmine University, a Master's Degree in Gifted/Talented Education from Northern Kentucky University, and a Rank I in Special Education Director from the University of the Cumberlands. Aubrey lives in Hebron with her husband and three children.
Kyle Fancher, Chief Information Officer
Mr. Fancher is in his 10th year in education, all spent in the Ludlow Independent School District. Before his current role of District Technology Coordinator, he served as an Instructional Technology Coach and an Elementary Teacher. Mr. Fancher earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education from Morehead State University and a Masters in Technology Leadership at the University of the Cumberlands. Kyle resides on his farm in California, KY with his wife, Kristina, and their two sons, one of whom attends Mary A. Goetz Elementary.
Todd Brewer, Director of Maintenance & Transportation
Todd is in his 14th year with Ludlow Independent Schools working with maintenance and transportation, but has been involved with coaching various sports for the last 20 years. He came to Ludlow with 20 years of management experience. Todd is a proud member of the Class of 1987, and his wife, Meredith, the LHS Class of 1989. They reside in Ludlow with their children, Will and Elizabeth.
Vikki Wofford, Financial Analyst
Mrs. Wofford is in her tenth year as the Financial Analyst, although she has long had ties to Ludlow Independent Schools. Mrs. Wofford has coached basketball and volleyball at LHS for a number of years. She is also a proud member of the LHS Class of 1990. Mrs. Wofford holds degrees in both Business Administration and Accounting from Thomas More College. Vikki and her husband, Randy, live in Ludlow, where they've raised two daughters, both LHS graduates.
Kellie Trammel, District Office Administrative Manager
Kellie is in her 24th year with the Ludlow Independent School District, most spent in the elementary office. She started in her current role in the central office in 2019. Kellie and her husband, Scott, a Ludlow alumnus, live in Villa Hills and have two grown sons.
