Plan for Opening the 2020-2021 School Year plan

A Message from Superintendent Mike Borchers:

As superintendent of Ludlow Independent Schools, I am extremely proud of how our teachers, administrators, support staff, and community members have helped serve our students and their families during the final quarter of last school year.  We are prepared to approach the upcoming school year with the same passion and dedication that will ensure your child receives a quality education during this challenging time with COVID-19.

Everyone in the Ludlow Independent Schools Family wants to see our students in school and experiencing the rich traditions that makes Ludlow such a special place to attend.  We also have the health and safety of every child and staff member at the forefront of all the decisions we are making as we prepare to open school this year.  We have developed a plan that takes both of these important issues into account so that we may maintain the high quality education that our families desire.

As of today, July 22, 2020, our plan will allow our families two options for the upcoming school year.  However, as we have all learned over the past few months, things can change very quickly with the virus.  We also want our parents to be prepared if we would need to shift to a remote learning plan that would require all students to work from home.  Our goal will remain to have our students safely in our district as much as possible.

Please take the time to review our plan for the upcoming school year and select the option that best meets the needs of your child.  By July 31, 2020, we ask that parents/guardians complete a learning plan selection form for each child.  The link to the form can be found in our plan:
