I am proud to be a panther! I graduated from Ludlow High School in 2001, and was lucky enough to have been hired to come back as a special needs teacher in 2008. After high school, I attended the University of Kentucky and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics in 2006. I worked as an auditor for Macy’s for the next two years, until I enrolled in the education program at Northern Kentucky University. In 2011, I completed my Master’s and Rank 1 degrees at NKU in the areas of Special Education and Teacher as a Leader. Although it took a little bit of time for me to get into education, I can honestly say that it is the best decision I have made.
Currently, I teach students with special needs in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. I am also the faculty sponsor for Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), a SOAR team leader, and the High School Activities Coordinator.
If a student needs extra help, I am available before school on most days. Students may join SOAR to receive additional homework and tutoring help. (Please follow this link for more information: http://www.ludlow.kyschools.us/olc/teacher.aspx?s=140) We also offer ESS after school in the library on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4:15, as well as Focus Friday from 7:30am-8:10am each Friday.
If you need to contact me for any reason at all, please do not hesitate to call or email me. I will return your message either after school that day, or the following morning.
This year I will be utilizing the website www.remind101.com as a way of sending out important messages to you. This is a free service; however, if you choose to receive the message via text, standard messaging rates will apply. I plan on using it to notify you and/or your child of upcoming tests, projects, or deadlines. You will not be able to see my number and I will not be able to see yours. Depending on how you enroll, you will receive my messages via email or through the text-messaging component on your phone.
